There is no hiding from the fact that India's growth has slowed down due to various reasons. The opposition of course targets the govt day in and say out saying they are a bunch more f illiterates with no education , no experience etc etc ...the recent move from the RBI where surplus fund was handed over to the govt has invited more criticism not only by the opposition but by some eminent economist s as well, most of whom worked under UPA and are supporters of Congress.

However, it is good to face the truth that our economy is also facing slow down like the global economy is and there may be signs of recession in the coming days. The article is a balanced view written by a research based concern ..quite informative..

The government's scheme of tax discounts in rates, has a lot of if's & but's. Hence the situation is not so straightforward as it seems.

If any company opts for such flat rate, they will be devoid of claiming any other expenses, which otherwise would have been allowed to be.

Since the move is to encourage domestically grown Companies, i think it is good for our Country's progress. Hope more investments are in the pipeline.

Truly small scale industries should be encouraged. Now one of the common issue being raised in industry sector is that, online markets such as flipkart, amazon are getting undue advantage as compared to the offline market.

If the government seriously pursues the policy of keeping away foreign goods esp Chinese make , it wd benefit a whole lot of small industries . I feel that small scale and cottage industries should be encouraged  .

You are right. it is not enough to give some rebates in taxes to companies. To improve employment it is must to create new job. If India Government control on imports of China than it will help in development of small industries.

If we are aiming for a healthy environment and healthy population we have to cut down on many things that we have taken for granted bit have ruined the quality of life like for example plastic and chemicals that seem to have pervaded into our lives at every level. The Chinese make a cabbage out of chemically treated material of some sort. Where exactly are we heading with all this?

You are in these most of things air, water and food all are polluted. Plastic and chemicals are threatened for environment. Industries are polluting rivers. Here in India farmers are also using chemicals to whiten cabbage.

There is no denying that the economy has slowed down and is continuing to do so and the 5 trillion promise may be just a dream as things stand now. No doubt the government is trying it's level best to counter that but with the world economy on a slump it may not be enough ..the major problem that India faces is collection of revenue through direct taxes .

When economy has slowed down it also have effect on collection of taxes, both direct and indirect. In Indian economy indirect taxes are more important than direct taxes. In coming economy will be improved
