Now the ongoing drift in party has come out in public. The split in Samajwadi Party is out. Akhilesh is expelled. Is it a political stunt?? How will it effect the upcoming election in UP?

The UP situation resembles that of the entire nation under UPA when only one party (family ) was thought  fit to rule the country. On the one hand these political parties scream about secularism and democracy but  shamelessly hold on to power and that too within the hands of one family. Be it Congress, SP or Lalus party or DMK it is the same bad precedent set by Congress party .

Now Mr. Mulayam Singh has taken back his decision of removal of Akhilesh - Ramgopal from his party. This is a big U - Turn.

Akhilesh yadav and his style of politics differ from Mulayam Singh yadav, it is certain that they can'e walk together.

The situation is taking different turns each day. Now,  more and more members are joining  Akhilesh yadav. it has to be seen, if there would be any compromise between Father and son in view of of the elections in UP.

In this high political drama, everyday new things are happening. Now on Sunday meeting, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has been declared as party chief, and Mr. Amar Singh has been thrown out of the party. Public of U.P. is watching all this political drama closely, and I think that they will understand this drama and stay away from this drama party.

Yes. On Sunday in a meet in Lakhanpur, UP Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has been elected by his supporters unanimously..   as the the national President of the SP. Mulayam has been thrown out from the power. Obviously Samajwadi party crisis  deepening day by day.

Now what happens in future has to be seen

Watching daily events on Samajvadi party is really comical.

Really, it has turned into a full nautanki special with action, emotion, comedy, dialoguebaaji and predictable suspense. Kudos to the actors!!. Not to forget media's role to sugar it up with catchy lines and their dramatic presentation and mixing it up with bollywood numbers does the icing on the cake

You are more concern with this issue, to whom you will favor Father or son?

The problem is we will never know what is the truth and what is the drama part of it ...However, Akhilesh seems  to have emerged stronger than before at least within the party . The coming elections in UP will be very interesting !

Presently the crisis is over using the election symbol, Cycle. Both father and son decided to meet the EC in this regard. Now it is clear the the crisis in the SJ  will continue, god knows how long.

It is turning out to be like suspense serial series. Nation keeps waiting for the next episode each day. On the top the Supreme court judgment to ban vote bank politics might add a new angle to the campaign. UP is the biggest battleground where elections are fought and won on vote bank. "Development"- the word is alien to UP election campaign and same holds true to majority of our nation

My personal view totally echoes with Sunil and Usha here. It seems to be an ugly political drama to mask the failure of the party. Samajwadi Party is actually a family party with more than 33 members from the same family.

But when I talk to many people especially educated youths from UP, they find Akhilesh to be a really good person and think that the progress in UP can be seen in last few years. They even feel that he being an youth and honest face of UP politics has lots of supporters and has helped SP to get a better image.

BJP fails to attract people in UP and Bihar as they do not have grass root efficient workers and a good local leader to buy the trust of localites. A national image of Modi can not win elections at all State level. They need to groom good leaders in these states to strengthen their position.

These are some of the views I have collected from people who stay in UP. My mother being from Benaras, I have lots of relatives staying in Benaras and Lucknow. They want BJP to come in governance but fear that it might not happen as there is no popular leader

I am also from U.P.  I feel that Akhilesh Yadav is an honest and promising young leader. He is obviously the best of all U.P. state leaders. He needs be given another opportunity for benefit of all people.

I think Its not good time of split but it will be good if Akhilesh start from zero and make another party to avoid fight in future .If they will again compromise then there is no guarantee that it will be same in future.

Time is not enough to make a new party.

I have seen in the News channels wherein  Akhilesh was doing Prananam with utmost respect to his father Mulayam.   Akhilesh's respect remained in tact even amidst the crisis. Mulaym failed to realize the honesty and respect to him by his own son Abhishekh.

There is a split but the benefit will go to the BJP.
