Their experience will save them. Government is also taking step when these type of activities came in to their knowledge. Here banks are using marking ink to avoid getting payment more than once in a day. Banks are marking on fingers with ink which are used in election.

Yes, indelible ink on the finger is being used in order to stop multiple cash withdrawals. Of course Government is taking care of these people only when such incidents come in to its notice. But , in case many such cases happen, it is difficult to take action against cheaters

It is working now

Even though the link did not work, when I posted, I posted. Because these duping and cheating cases are regularly being shown in all most all the News channels.

It's a new note.... Many have not seen it in hand or know the features it has.... It will take some time till ppl get used to it and know it's features. till then it's very easy for unscrupulous ppl to take a color print out and dupe ppl

I read the link Article . It happened in Chikkamagumagalure. The SP, made it clear that the Note was a photocopy  of the original Note. Now such incidents of duping are on the rise after Demonetizing of Currency. What the Modi Government will do to put a check on such practices has to be seen.

yes, the current 2000 notes doesn't seems to be a 2000 notes it's like a chooran note which we all used to play in our childhood.

Corruption, cheating, black money, tax evasion are result of our character. Currency is only a means. The new currency will also be an instrument of corruption.  Possibly, the idle black money may be unearthed. But there is also black money in film world, real estate, gold  and in fact everything of value.  The idle black money at least does not generate further black money like other sectors. There appears no way further generation of black money could be stopped.  Black money is like grass that grows again after cutting.

How do you define black money. This is nothing but tax escaped money. The best way to eliminate black money is to introduce two slabs of income tax- 5% and 10%.. Let penalty for evasion be 100% of the income on which tax is sought to be evaded.  Low income tax rate and higher penalty will surely combat the menace of tax evasion/ black money.  Demonetizing entire currency that is used by common men also is no solution.

As regards the claim that terrorists and others have been financially crippled, we need wait a few weeks or months. In case there are no more terrorist action, we may assume that currency demonetization has served purpose. Otherwise this will be considered total flop and just an anti [people step.

Many people ve been passing the same comment. That the Rs 2000 note looks like a note that the children play with. Yesterday one of my friend was relating about an incident in which an old lady vendor refused to sell her things to a man who wanted to buy things from her using the real 2000 rs note. But she got angry and scolded him saying that he is trying to cheat her & tore the note.

Now the situation is better. The Government has taken care to distinguish between the fake and real Notes. Things will be normal in due course.

Something similar happened here too with a shop keeper refusing to accept a new authentic Rs2000 note simply because of all the rumors of fake notes. The poor customer had no other cash and finally things wee sorted out after another note was brought and it was examined etc ,..I guess this is are minor hiccups that are bound to be here when there is something new happening !

@ rambabu by the way what measure has the government taken with regard to fake notes .., please share the link or the news here ...
