The much awaited results that the world has been watching for are out, it is now open and clear, Donald Trump won 276 votes when only 270 are needed to win the presidential elections. I feel that although he is a pompous person who believes in trumpeting his own deeds, he is still better than Hillary Clinton who is quite pro-Pakistan and similar issues of Islamic terrorism.

Whereas the black money crusade in India is a great achievement , Trumps success is a mixed bag and all nations across the world must be wondering, what next?

USA voters select him so they know better why they select  him. It is certain that he never can behave like a dictator.

Keeping our fingers crossed and hope that your expectations turn out true because America effects the world. The unexpected has happened and hope he delivers unexpectedly well.

Vast majority of Indian immigrants are now US citizens. Why are you worried about them? Trump himself is from an German  immigrant family.

To my utter relief, I received a message from  my daughter yesterday who lives in Virginia . She said Trump's administration is going on well. He has not created  any problems to Indian residents in US. She laughed at me and said Media is exaggerating the news.

As often happens many of the promises he made during elections he will not fulfil them so the likely to be effected wil not be.

Well right now he is going through the pain of facing the protest in the country which ironically elected him

It is believed Communists are behind anti Trump protests breaking down in Cities across the Country. Americans everywhere are so frightened are angered by the Prospect of a Trump Presidency as opposed to a Hillary Clinton Presidency - that they are taking to the streets to express their grave concerns for the future of the Country.

Then, my question is why the Americans, elected Trump at the first place.

I think that is a stupid question.. the very fact that Trump has a little more than half of the votes , means the rest are against him.

Then why the Protests ?Americans are supposed to be highly educated.  They are supposed to elect Hillary Clinton.

Obviously your suppositions are both wrong..

Why suppose??? They elected Donald Trump because majority of them believed that he ll be a better leader. Though its quite a shock for the rest of the world, majority of the Americans ve shown their preference for him. Personally I was rooting for Hillary. By the way election has nothing to do with education. People everywhere vote for candidate who they believe would make their life better

Majority have voted for Hillary but due to their system Trump got elected. A person who openly abused women, groped them, threatens minorities, has no experience of governance has made it to the top post. Naturally many are disturbed and are protesting.

Yes.. Trump abused former President, Bill Clinton a Predator and the worst abuser of Women. He has threatened to expand his attack on his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton and her husband, if they release more inappropriate Tapes. Naturally many are disturbed and resorting to Protest against Trump.

Trump's victory is the win of the right wing and it's almost like Modi storming the elections in 2014. NO body expected such a victory for Modi and so also for Trump.

These protests are similar to the protests organized by Rahul and Congress. Storm in a tea cup really and just as many could not stomach a Modi win so also for Trump.

Didn't realized about the different electoral system in America. I find it complicated the way it works. I mean what is the logic in having the winner take all electoral system? Moreover I am little confuse about the electoral. Are they something like our MLA or they elected only for the purpose of voting for the president. Would be grateful if anyone can share any knowledge about the electoral college

In America there is no left wing so it is less right wing versus more right wing. Find it strange that Trump has supporters in the forum after all the revelations about his character.
