A veteren army personnel has committed suicide over OROP. Why his immediate relatives have been detained is very surprising. Sad that army persons have to resort to such measures.

Thanks for sharing it. It is not enough, now government must be clear it so opposition will not have any room for selfish politics. Second thing if demand of of army is right one than government must be meet it or satisfied them in some other manner.

according to latest news, OROP decision is expected in one or two months
All the news channels have been showing this news only. It is sad to see how a grief of a family and here of a nation can be used for political stunts. It was a day full of political melodramas and no party can be spared. How a soldiers death has provided theses netas with a pound of flesh to pounce upon.
Banks have no role in determining pension amounts. That is decided by concerned departments and banks merely deposit the amount on pensioner's account. So it is shifting of responsibility by the government. Eould heavens have fallen if thevopposition leadets were allowed to call upon the relatives of the dead ex-soldier. It is preposterous that a Chief Minister is being arrested in his own state. At this rate a PM can also be detained in Delhi. Real comedy is taking place in name of pseudo nationalism. It is also sickening to see spokesperson of the ruling party shrieking at the top of their voices in TV debates. Why?
I guess some people pretend not to see the drama played out by the opposition which is ridiculous and so very insensitive. Rahul Gandhi made a complete fool of himself as usual not even knowing who was dead when he made some ridiculous statements in the police station which goes to show how much they care for the dead army man...After having sat on the issue for decades the opposition is now jumping in simply because this gives them an opportunity to cash in during the coming elections.

Seeking for power is not wrong, but the way by which they want to get power it totally wrong, they want to misguide the public. But in today's scenario, they will not succeed.

Believe me, the reaction would have been quite the opposite if a certain other party was doing all the dramatics ..
When has the public been not misguided? BJP did not allow Parliament to run for many sessions but cried hoarse when Congress returned the compliment. Congress sat on OROP but now is championing the same. So no use being judgemental and blindly supporting one party which is other side of the same coin.
Congress not just sit on OROP but also never took the armed personnel and their demands seriously ad is now being revealed now .As many as 12 letters written by the army was totally ignored by Manmohan Singh and defense minister of the time and look at Rahul Gandhi and his dramatics now and the sycophants around him , Shameless to the core !

There is no doubt that Indira reduced the pensions and Congress than sat on demand for restoration of pension for 40 years. Rahul frankly has no leg to stand on.

If we look back and analyse , we see that Congress has been responsible for most of the adversities that have gripped India for decades. At least now we can hope for a cleaning up process and it should start right from the top that were all the rot is..
