Rafi remembered

I think a singer of his stature is always remembered. On special days we only observe some ritual because there is no single day when we don't get to hear his rendition and automatically we appreciate it umpteen times.

Rafi and his songs are immortal and will remain so because of their timeless appeal.. I am sure all music lovers will have at least a couple of Rafi songs as their favorites..The first Rafi song that I listened to was when I was around two years old and the song was Koya koya chand khula aasman , playing on the radio. Apparently I would run close to the radio each time it was played and to this day the song transports me back to my childhood days . I am sure most of us would have memories attached to his songs ..

Rafi was a great singer and men like him come once in a generation. I love his songs which are alive even today

Rafi made himself immortal through his lovely songs, Ghazals and other genres of music. He was a noncontroversial pe3rson , whose only interest and Mission was Music. 

Rafi's voice is a pleasure to hear and his songs are soothing and melodious. My childhood favourite is the song from Junglee 'chahe koi mujhe jungle kahe---'.

All Rafi's songs are melodious. The uniqueness of Rafi lies in the fact, that, he can make us feel, that Dilip was singing or Johnny Walker was singing. His voice suits most of the then actors.

yes it is also signature song of Shami Kapoor. All songs of Junglee are sweet and melodious. I like Hai Dunia Usi Ki Jamana Usi Ka Mohbat Main Jo Ho Gya Ho Kisi Ka.

We can't think Bollywood music with out Rafi. It is impossible to forgot him. Rafi said    "Tum Mujhey Yoon Bula Na Paogey, Jab Kabhi Bhi Sunogey Geet Mete Sang Sang Tum Bhi Gungunogey. Rafi Sahib we are doing it, I think you are watching it from heaven.

Man Mora Baawra  was sung by Rafi for Kishore in the Movie Raagini. Most of the music Directors during Rafi's time used to prefer for his al round musical knowledge.

True, Rafi and Shammi Kapoor matched well..My own favorites are Hum aur tum aur yeh sama, kya nasha nasha sa hai from Dil dekhe dekho  and Baar baar dekho hazaar baar dekho from China Town

I like the songs of Rafi with a semi classical tingeAmong such renditions my favorite is Madhu Ban mein Radhika naache re.

Oh yes I have it with me, seen the film too,,,Picturised on Waheeda Rehman and the hero was Johny walkers brother Vijaya Kumar. There is another beautiful song from a relatively lesser known film Adventures of Robinhood - Maana mere haseen sanam tu rashke maahatab hai..

With Rafi Shammi kapoor combination , many wonderful songs came out. Among them, Jawaniyaye Mast Mast Bin Piye from Tumsa nahin Dekha.

Contribution of Rafi is carrier of Shammi Kapoor is unforgetable. It happen some time that music director, songwriter, singer and performer gave his best. Song of Kashmir Ki Kali. Nigahon Nignhon Main Dil lane wale Bata Ye Hunar Tune Sikha Khan se, is the song, Not only listen also watch it.

Till the 70's movie may be B or C grade but they have one or two song which get popular. Tokhar is film of 1975. In this film Rafi sung only song. Movie was not a hit one but its song, Apni Aankon main Bitha Kar Koi Ekrar karoon is hit song.  

Another kind of Pictures are there, which survived only because of Rafi's songs.

Oh this is the reason, why Rangoli program people have specially focused on Mohammadrafi songs. He is a wonderful singer. Every song of him are equal to diamond. We cannot forget them as he is having magical voice.

The composer of the famous Musical hit Baiu Bawra was Naushad. In the beginning, Talat Mehmood was booked to sing all the songs of Baiju Bawra. But, it so happened, Naushad, a strict disciplinarian found Talat was smoking on the sets. This incident annoyed Naushad,  cancelled Talat and offered Rafi, who was new then,  to sing all the songs of Baiju Bawra.

That was e real break for Rafi. With his song ' O Duniya ke Rakh Wale....', he created history and made a permanent place in the Hindi Film Industry.

Actually Mohammad Rafi used to sing songs by seeing a begger. At that time he is a little boy. Once he sang songs for fun then he got an opportunity to sing and give audition. So immediately he went to mumbai and gave audition and even got selected. but he has no money with him after got selected. When this was known by his boss, his boss asked him why don't he ask money then Rafi said there is onemore line left to sing. Till the song complete i cannot ask money. This impressed his boss and he paid rafi with full amount.
