Should Yoga be imposed?

The so-called Yoga Day is being celebrated on Tuesday, and many CBSE schools have forced their children to be there in their respective schools at 7AM in the morning.  One can imagine that the Central Government is keen on Yoga.  But why should it imposed?

If the child has to reach the school at 7AM, will the parents not be so anxious to pack off the children earlier than even 5AM in  a huge city like Chennai?  What will happen if there is some problem to even a single girl child?

Imposing Yoga is not a great idea.  It should be made optional, and the classes should start only at 8AM, and not 7AM, in the metros, as transportation is a huge problem.  Thousands of buses and vans fight for space in the metros, and the traffic jams are so huge indeed.

The Government should create conditions for anything, including Yoga, to be enjoyed by school children.  Imposing it, will only invite criticism that the Central Government has a political agenda.

There is no need to force anything. It is enough that you give adequate information on every thing- be Yoga or something else. Decision is better left to individual. You can compel any one even for such thing like early rising.  It is good to get up early and retire to bed early. But how can you force any one to do so.

True Sir. let the person concerned decide what is good for him or bad for him.

see forcing is a different thing, if one force someone to do yoga or anything which the person don't like to do at that moment or if he/she don't like only then it becomes a crime i thing so.

Why forcing at all ?. I reaped benefits of Yoga without being forced years ago. Because, I was convinced that Yoga is good for me. That's all.

That is the way it should be. Persuasion is the key.

No persuasion, no coercion, no threatening, no intimidating for imposing Yoga. If there is good in Yoga, the person himself will take up Yoga.
