No Need to Be Careful

It is a reminder for members which come at 10 PM on weekends (esp Sunday) click at articles and reach in top 5 on weekly leader board.

While it is perfectly alright if you post in forums and earn points at your chosen time/day it certainly will not be tolerated that you rob the honest members. So be honest to yourself and do all your reading carefully in future. The chances are you will never reach anywhere next week if you continue with your present tactics.

It is quite funny to see those very members who indulge in all the aforementioned, objectionable activities should be the one urging moderators to take action against such things. I feel that no matter what kind of rules and regulations or point systems are brought in place, it still remains that each individual should have the basic responsibility and moral sense to use those systems wisely which will benefit all concerned but still t does not happen.

@babu saroj and Vaishnavi, it is high time you get your acts straight or you might not be able to earn a single point next week. I hope you read at least Sunil's post properly.

Member/s love to sermonize others while they shamelessly do Everything possible to grab points. Reading articles and getting points is a one time gain but posting randomly the same thing on different ways is certainly that needs to be looked into. But I understand the limitations of the admin there, which is what makes the members manipulate and the advantage of..

Yes Usha that is the bane of this community and sadder is the fact that there are senior members who do that. But hopefully we can take care of it soon.

It is more than two years that we are hearing that changes are on their way. The journey seems to be taking too long a time or has it indeed started.

I tried my best by sending the smart ones from 3rd and 4th spot to 7th and 8th spot in last week's LB. Next time the story will be even worse. I am keeping a record of all the members on leader board.

It seems to be effective as they have not yet come to bat.

It should work definitely. The proof is, erring members ' activity  is gradually reducing. This is the first step. And over a period such abusers' activity will come to a grinding halt. In this regard we all must thank the Moderators Sunil and Kalyani.

Let the moderators Sunil and Kalyani decide who these erring members are because it is not just the article clickers that err, there are others as well who do it differently

I do believe that the primary responsibility of reining in such unethical thuggery is that of the administration and the move contemplated by Sunil should be welcomed. In life as well as in this site there would be always smart people out there to outsmart others by adopting unfair and questionable means. Although I agree with Kalyani's views that until and unless members live upto images as mature, conscientious and fair-minded individuals it is almost impossible to fight off this menace!!

Their batting season starts late during the weekends so they are not seen now! flushed.png

Even though, the member is batting now a days during other days, his activity has gone down considerably.

He is not the only one but I have my eyes fixed on at least 3 people. Let me see and wait until Sunday before I go ahead with my plan.

Of course, from the beginning you and Kalyani were saying that there is a definite plan to handle such members who are using unfair tactics. Kalyani even named them. I have faith in both of you. I also know that there are limitations. Still, I believe both of you can handle the situation  to arrest this malady.

There are no limitations whatsoever but we are trying to save site as well members too. I don't want to see this site which already has so few participants lose few more.

A catch 22 situation here..looks like nothing much will happen in the name of change !

but why are you all so keen to give points to read an article. What do these points bring/ mean. The same 10 persons get peanuts every weak. delink the points from article reading. If viewership falls bring it back.

It is my opinion that members who are active few of them visit each days article pages. I rare view articles. So it is also good option that no points credited for reading articles.

Thi point I raised earlir. But Sunil said as of now its not feasible.

Sunil is also right we can't ignore earning side of site. To run site earning is essential. Earning is possible only with views of pages.

Some established practices are there, which the Administration think are not a violation of rules of this site. It's not possible to scrap them overnight. But our Moderators are sure to find a way out. Both Sunil and Kalyani are working in this direction. I'm sure sooner than later a definite plan would emerge.

There was once a site similar to this which closed down and many members joined in here and I too was a member there for sometime ..One thing good about the site was the equal opportunity it gave for all its members . Members could take part in discussions but only a certain number of posts each day would fetch them points after which they were free to post but no remuneration. I feel we need to bring that rule here as well so that more members get active and feel that their work is being appreciated.

I am still active on one such site that pays you for 10 forum posts a day but you are free to write as many as you like. They are very strict but pay you as soon as you reach your payment threshold ($5).

Can such system be introduced here ? Will it be free from unfair ways ?. If so, Please implement. The idea is this site should attract others more and more new members. It serves the purpose of both the site and and the member.
