Does the youth of India need campus politics?

So far as entry of politicians in campus is concerned, we cannot pinpoint only BJP/RSS.  Vidyarhi Parishad is student front of BJP/RSS.  As BJP is in power at center, the ABVP and other saffron organizations are more active and wish to dominate. But we can't blame them alone. All political parties have their own student bodies. This is fact and we cannot wish this away. But the main emphasis should be on education. Political type of campaign and discussions should also be treated as part of education.  However, the political parties should not exert direct intervention in campus. Leave this to students. The RSS and BJP have played very negative role in JNU as well as Hyderabad and targeted innocent and Dalit as well as minority students painting them as anti national using even doctored videos. This is very disgusted and needs be condemned by all.   

The future politicians will emerge from the youth of today. So exposure to student politics is like a training ground along with education. By insulating premier institutes from student politics the space has been left open for unscrupulous to fill the void. Then we lament what sirt of politicians we have got.

You seem to have got things wrong because campus politics has been there for decades and ushered in with the blessings of the good old Communal( Congress) party of India.they target youngsters and fund them. Simply blaming BJP is no use.. However, I sincerely hope that Mr Modi cleans up the campuses of sedition, anti Nationalism etc , that is being encouraged openly by the communal party, or else what business do they have interfering with what is between the concerned ministry and the university.

I don't know where you got the idea that the RSS and BJP are responsible for bringing campus politics into JNU and other campuses. FYI JNU has been a stronghold for the communists and leftists right from earlier days. Congress also has a strong presence there always, the name alone testifies to it. Blaming only ABVP as the saffron brigade of BJP as teh cause of all that has happened in Hyderabad or JNU is not fair, congress is also responsible, in fact more so, for allowing Rahul Gandhi to poke his nose into affairs not of his concern. And to some extent, politics needs to be exposed to students because it is from them that the future politicians will be born, but the way it is played must be contained. A person should be applauded and supported on merit alone and false heroes should be created just for the sake of a few vested interests like is happening with Kanhaiya kumar.

The ABVP has a big role in the projection of Kanhaiya. 

Students need to understand national politics and when there is politics in campus then it's a scope for the students to gain practical experience. Yes, I agree it need not be that dirty as the campus politics is and for this each and every political party is responsible. We should not single out one party and blame it for the nasty politics in campus.

I like you reply and agreed that we should be blame any single party for the present situation of campus politics. CPI have hold on politics lf JNU for long time and also using its for their political purpose. All political parties are doing it. If political parties have not direct intervention than the situation which is we are watching never arised. Aim of student like Kanhiya is not study, his only one point agenda is politics. If BJP and RSS used doctored videos that it will prove in court and both with suffer it in coming elections.
