Inquilab Zindabad, Jai Hind and Bharat Mata ki Jai were the slogans during independence movement. But what is bharat mata (mother India). why some people are opposed to the concept of Bharat Mata. Is chanting slogan- Bharat Mata ki Jai- the only way to express patriotism. Here is link giving history of the Bharat Mata concept.

The link is quite interesting. The news anchor has very nicely explained the stages of Bharat Mata's evolution.

The translated version is hilarious, couldn't understand anything at all...

However, change is the essence of life, so why complain when anything changes with time !

In the discussions so far it has not been brought out as to why self appointed patriots are all the time provoking a particular community to prove its patriotism. It is a way of trying to dominate and knowng that they will resist then start condemning them. These elements are now doing openly what they were doing covertly earlier. BJP may have to pay a price at the hustings for it.

Actually anything that these Sasngh Pariwar overdo gets defamed. First they defamed 'Jai shri Ram' at Ayodhya. Now they are defaming Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata ki Jai  by their bullying. The dacoits chant 'Jai Bhawani'.. So Bhawani goddess is associated with dacoits. Similarly, they are changing image of Bharat Maata. I don't k now how Bharat Mata can be saved from these fascists.

As long as there are communal people around and are polluting the atmosphere with their glib and abusive talk, no one can save Bharat Mata , although BJP is doing its level best to infuse patriotism

The BJP is doing its best in injecting Patriotism. I don't think BJP  needs any lessons on Patriotism from the communal parties and their leaders.

Recently a Muslim seminary has issued a Fatwa against reciting " Bharat Mata ki Jai". This incidentally is a slogan used by the Army and Air force on Parade. There are Muslims in the armed frces( Though few in number) who are also supposed to chant this slogan. What should they do?  failure to chant it during a parade is a offence and the soldier will face a court martial. Unfortunately the Congress has betrayed India.

Each army regiment has its own slogan based on the composition. To elucidate, Punjab Regiment/ Sikh regiment have slogan appropriate to Sikh religion. The Gurkha have their own slogan. Army has its own discipline. The army persons have to go by regiment tradition and rules and not according to fatwa.

The real enemies to the Hindu society  are lying amidst us, under the guise of Secularism. And today, every child in the country knows who these Pseudo Secularists are. Anyhow, the good thing that happened is, entire Bharat realized and recognized these Pseudo Secularists and kicked away unceremoniously . I feel they should be driven away from this country once and for all.

What you are talking off is the Battle cry which is distinct for each Regiment. Battle cry is not used in parade. Here there is a slogan like bharat mata ki jai. It is universal to all regiments. Hope i have clarified.? The Muslim leadership is acting as a divisive force he'll bent on another partition

If reciting any slogan is necessary, soldiers will go by army discipline and lawful command and nothing else. Fatwa is meaningless in army conduct.

The Muslims themselves do not take vast majority of Fatwas seriously as any Fatwa can be got issued by  paying some money/fees to any maulvi. Only few Fatwas issued by respected seminaries have some acceptability. So no need to take them seriously or get worried. Yes there should be a system where such fatwa issuers  involving respect and love for country can be hauled up in court of law.
