Vijay Mallaya in an interview in London says Indian banks should have been careful in giving him loans, they knew the state of his airline business and are equally responsible now for his defaults.

I do believe with all flak he has been drawing at the moment he has hinted at one of the important dark aspects of the Indian banking system. This grand thuggery could not have been made possible without the active participation of all stakeholders except the common man. All our public sectors would be bankrupt without regular capitalization by governments with your money my money. A beggar pays taxes when he buys anything in the form of indirect taxes but our filthy rich steal them!! What a country we are living in!!!
The CBI requested many times to file a complaint against King fisher Mallaya. But the Indian banks were not ready to register a complaint against Vijay Mallaya-led Kingfisher Airlines. accept their request. Therefore Anil Sinha, the chief of the CBI criticized the Indian banks for not registering a complaint against this anti-corruption agency.
The banks are to beblamed for being so lax and the previous government which took no action even after CBI warned about Mallya 4 years ago ! He had sunk MCF at Mangalore and claimed insurance and the employees were left in the lurch. But now the same Party goes around blaming the present government which is typical of them..However, I sincerely hope that BJP does not let Mallya get away like Qutrochhi was allowed to..
let's see what actually happens in this case because till date Lalit Modi is out of the country and now Mallya. Will he come back? Will he repay the loan? God knows! I want to know reactions of his celebrity friends who never ever thought for a while before partying with him in such a lavish manner.

Yeah, People will be very keen to know what Mallya celebrity friends reaction about his escaping from India
It is not a case of this or that government. Even private banks like ICICI have accumulated huge NPA's. When the whole world knows he is a defaulter why should the CBI or police or government wait for a complaint to be filed. Could not the FM have instructed the banks to file a complaint. It is all hogwash. Like Lalit Modi he has vanished to the Mecca of such persons, London. Why no Indian politician is blaming UK govt for giving shelter to runaways from India. Has the loot enriched the British treasury. All we are left is slinging match between Congress and BJP.

nothing will happen. Case is not so simple. Banks are supposed to carry out diligence test before loan is given. They never did , because they ( managers) recieved fat checcks. First arrest the bankers immediately before talking of mallya.

Nothing is simple especially when a big shot like Mallya is involved. But all efforts to catch the fish are directed to bring back Mallya to India, who is at present in the UK. Of course the UK government also should cooperate.

the bigger fish are the bank heads who made these loans possible and they neeed to be arrested first. Mallya didnt go on his own and encashed checks. The bankers gave themto him. They are also culpable of criminal consipricy.Anyway UK law is more EXACT and what I have stated is how the legal case will open. British courts will throw all charges out untill the Bankers are arrested and proceeded against.

13 Banks led by SBI approached the Supreme Court to prevent Mallya from leaving the country. If the Bankers gave the money to Mallya, why they approached Supreme court ? Anyhow, things are not as clear as you thought. Nothing can be said emphatically at this juncture who is the real culprit.

Not a single celebrity will speak up now because we know among them one celebrity's husband got banned in IPL betting case. So, there are many who just wanted to have fun irrespective of anything and some are in the same boat as Mallya.
Lot of what is being said today is from hindsight with advantage of real time data. While granting loans risk analysis is carried out and applications cleared. Adverse Market conditions can compound the risk manifold and turn it into an NPA for the banks. Indian banks today are carrying a burden of Rs 2 lakh crores NPA's. How many bankers will you arrest. In risky ventures all are at risk, employees, banks, suppliers, customers, etc. The need is to redefine granting of loans . if it is made too tight new entrepreneurs cannot be encouraged, if too lax bad debts will sore. In an emerging country with low purchasing power and lower personal assets such defaults are to be expected. Where Mallaya is being targeted is because of his continued high brow life style even after kingfisher failed. He takes it in his stride asan business venture which failed. We shout because public sector banks lent money which we say is our money. He should be brought back to clear all issues that are now being raised.

Mallya has no option but to return since cancellation of his Passport will get him deported. According to a top Government official, Mallya will return to India sooner than later.

The case for extradiation wont stand. Legally he cannot be singled out as the senior heads who lent him money have to be booked so that the British courts can see that all are being proceeded against. It will not happpen and so Mallya wont come back. Frankly there are bigger defaulters than Mallya, but his life style has brought him in the eye. The collpase of Kingfisher is just a business venture. When East West and Damainia air collapsed nearly 3000 cr was writtrn off.
