The holy men or God men have no doubt lot of influence on people. But they are supposed to be working for entire people and hence not indulge in family affairs. Hence the very idea of a god man assuming responsibility of upbringing a child is bizarre.

Court has rightly debarred god man from adopting child.

In this case of course it is the dithering attitude of the parents that is basically at fault and had this happened with any other religious head I am sure such an issue would not have found its way here on the discussion site..

I agree with you The parents who gave their child for adoption were in a state of confusion. But one must appreciate the child's grand parents, who really understood the problem and filed a case.
