Protect your child from Substance abuse

This is a shocking news that number of children even the school children are consuming alcohol and other illicit substances. The use and abuse of alcohol and such other products impact the children in many ways. They lose concentration and cannot perform well in study. Students also lose interest in healthy, social and extra curricular activities. Therefore, parents should make a healthy relationship with their children especially in their teen age. Try to get know about their friends and advice them to make friendship with children with good character. 

First of all parents should not indulge any activities, which prompts the children to indulge in the activities of drinking and using drugs. Children have the trait of imitating the elders. This habit in children starts with fun and becomes a habit. So this proves, unless the parents are exemplary, children continue to stick to the bad habit of substance abuse.

Parents and teachers should tell the children about the harmful effects of alcohol. Our children should be made aware of the bad effects of using alcohol or any other drug.

Substance abuse is such a dreadful habit, if left unchecked in proper time, children will become the slaves to bad habits like drinking and drug addiction.

In this respect Parents should keep a check on the movements of their children, though it is not possible always. But, parents are not left with an other options.
