Terrorist attack at Pathankot air base

Yea we should support Pakistan that's condemning the Terrorist activities.

Army operation of hunting terrorist is continue at Pathankot air base. Pakistan's print media reprove act of terrorist. I think voice of media is voice of public. So Pakistan public is condemned this deed of terrorist. It is time to support this view of Pakistan's public to make pressure of Pakistan's government to took some strong step against enemies of peace.

Pakistan has always leaned towards army rule which is almost like a dictatorship with the army calling the shots and the elected government falling in to their demands,People have now probably got fed up after seeing how they are losing out in many ways because of this, so are voicing their opinion . BUt, one cannot expect anything much from the government which has always been cantankerous as far as India is concerned !

In Pakistan there is more influence of Pakistani army, terrorist groups and ISI than of Pakistan government. So to control over terrorism from Pakistan side, it is important for India to attack on the terrorist groups which are residing in Pakistan.

Attack on terrorist groups will continue and should be continued. In Pathankot, our security forces killed most of the terrorists . It is believed that one more terrorist who was holed up.But the operations are continuing. Rajnath Singh clearly mentioned that India is determined to reply in a befitting way if any country including Pakistan resorts to Terrorist activities.

Yes some what you are right, but think for a moment if elected government of Pakistan took any step against the wish of the Pakistan army and ISI what will be happen with them. Remember Dismiseal of Nawaz Sahrif government in 1999 by Parvej. Nawaz Sharif and his family had to run Soudi Arbia to save life.

Yes some what you are right, but think for a moment if elected government of Pakistan took any step against the wish of the Pakistan army and ISI what will be happen with them. Now the conditions are different. Strong winds of change are blowing from Pakistan. The country is longing for having friendly relations wit that country that was once an integral part. It may or may not merge with India, but certainly, there wouldn't be hostilities.

I agree that Pakistan has a very complicated system of governance and it is all the more reason for India to be cautious and not get swayed by what appears on the surface . There are unresolved issues between the two countries, which in itself will be a stumbling block in days to come .Pakistan has also been harboring terrorist groups , trained and armed on their soil and sent to India. Now hanging a few of them does not mean that there will be any definite changes in their relationship towards India and that too so drastically ! Any change should be a slow and steady process ..

Here is the latest on Pathankot attack, All the Terrorists dead. But combing up operations are continuing as a precautionary measure.

Going by the track record,  Army will not believe Pakistan's actions right now. That's why even though all the terrorist are dead, combing operations are going on.

Yesterday, I read on the news paper that a few days before Christmas, Indian resources received a specific terror alert about six terrorists from Bahwalpur in Punjab province of Pakistan is planning to execute terror strikes in India. The alert had said that they would be entering India through Samba sector in Jammu and were targeting the Pathankote airbase. And from there on the group was to move towards Delhi. But I don't know whether it is true or not.

It helps if you can give the link. Even otherwise, I can say neglecting an alert is not advisable. Army might not have been convinced about the genuinity of the alert.

Now NIA is investigating the case from every point. People from this side of border may involved and the NIA is asking questions to the SP and his friends who were kidnapped by the terrorists before attack.

Salvinder Singh, on inquiry by NIA who was abducted says he was blindfolded and his hands were tied and his vehicle  was forcibly taken by the Militants. The NIA inquiry is going on.

Bruce Reidel worked in the National Security Council of the White House. Now it is confirmed tat we cannot have cordial relations with Pakistan.

 

 

 

The attack on air base is a solid failure of security on our part. It is claimed prior intelligence was there and yet the coordination between concerned agencies  was very poor. It is mighty surprising how six fully armed persons with carrying huge weights are able to enter into India and then make their way into an airbase undetected. There has to be some local help. How does it matter to us whether in Pakistan army is powerful or civil govt. Both are against India. Let us make our house safe and impregnable.

No. Its not a security lapse. Had it been a security lapse, more security personnel would have been killed. Whereas, Army has eliminated all the Terrorists. And all the sophisticated equipment was safe and undisturbed.
