Very sorry for Baba Ramdev! Mussed Nobel Prize because of racial discrimination. But he appears to be ignorant of the fact that many Indians got this award. Let us hope that the current government compensates this by awarding Bharat Ratna on this Yoga Baba.

He was right to some extent, most Indians got this prize only when they were migrated this way or that way. Native Asians/Africans are rare in the list as if all the intelligentsia lives in Western Countries only. But that is their prize they can offer it to people they deem fit.

I think the love of Rambabu is stopping Ramdev to leave this country for a big prize like Nobel. The love of Yoga lovers is far greater a prize than Nobel for him which will keep him back in India and I am very much sure you will see a bigger prize than Nobel in near future sponsored by Ramdev. LOL- you could be one of the contenders too for the same for your love of Yoga as well.

I don't understand why anybody including Baba Ramdev should be running after any kind of awards knowing they are manipulated here and may be even abroad! It is a kind of ego trip for most people except a few genuine people who may get it without actually hankering after it or expecting it !

But, these big guns are busy in eyeing awards because it satisfies their ego.
Many people want awards even without knowing significance and procedure. A social worker sometimes visits my office. He installs points on road for free drinking water during summer. No doubt this is noble. But I don't know whether this is enough for a Padma award. He is interested in Padma Vibhushan or Padma shree and asks how he can get this.
I know of a very undeserving person who skilfully build up an image of his being a very concerned person, over the years. However at every milestone he studiously cultivated a politician or an eminent person to give him recognition. Emboldened then he developed relations with a powerful politician and almost forced an application for him to be awarded a Padma award. Indeed he got one three years back. Every one was dazed. So advise yor friend to get in touch with an influential politician.

But these Guru forgot about the character of Indian public. Public can worship some one but it vote to person whom they thing right one for vote.
Actually they forget that yoga and politics are two different things. Anyone can join politics but fighting an election, winning and then governing a country requires a sharp thinking, wisdom and an ability to rule. Sadly, very few have the ability to judge their capability and act accordingly.
