Really interesting fact associated with Garlic.
Garlic is very useful and is used widely for a wide range of common ailments and as therapeutic remedy in almost all Indian homes, except Jain community and a few others for religious beliefs. Garlic is chopped and added to coconut oil which is then heated on slow fire until the garlic chars. This is then left to cool and the oil thus infused with garlic, is used to rub on hands, feet, chest and back of newborns, babies and toddlers to cure cough and cold.

True Kalyani. Garlic besides being a big health promoting thing, It's related with many religious rituals and beliefs of several religions from Islam to Christianity all over the world.
For example in Islam there is a belief that Garlic should not be eaten before going to Namaj. Because it distracts. Similar beliefs are prevalent in other religions too associated with Garlic.
