The Patels of Gujarat are a reasonably well off community who have also made a name for themselves in USA by becoming owners of motels and shops. In Gujarat they are a politically influential community and are well represented in almost all spheres. Do they deserve reservation under OBC quota for which they have launched an agitation?

That goes without saying , the estranged parties are not leaving any stone unturned to destabilise the central as well as state governments wherever it is possible.This is one such attempt which in time to come might backfire on them..
In the name of protests and agitations, anti social elements enter and unleash their destructive activities causing loss to public and Government property.
Anyhow the central government is firmly determined to bring the situation under control. Para military forces are deployed to control the situation.
