TheVyapam scam dates back to 2007, with investigations in the case starting after some details came to light in 2013. Officers of the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (Vyavsayik Pareeksha Mandal, or Vyapam) were found to have been rigging a variety of eligibility tests for courses and recruitments for close to six years, perhaps for an even longer period.

if we look at the number of scams in India , their number is very large. this is one more scam. I wonder whether the CBI can do justice to multipicity of scams investigation. i have done 2 courses with the CBI and many officers told me that their resources were stretched and it was not possible to do justice to each case. We should look at how the FBI functions and hand only rare and extreme cases to CBI. The local police expertise must be enhanced for an effective result

The main reasons for such scams is inadequacy in the infrastructure. leading to inordinate delays.

Scaqms are not new. What is new is numerous suspicious deaths in the case.

Now, more and more death reports are pouring in. Whoever spoke or acted against Vyapam were simply killed. Anyhow the CBI has taken up the case.

Yes. Its good to have a CBI enquiry. It's only then the real culprits will surface up.

Vypam came into light in the mid - 1990's and the first FIR was filed in the year 2000. If a deep and independent investigation is done by C.B.I., then name of many politicians of different parties will come out.

It's not the time to discuss where and how the Vyapam scam started. It's the time to probe deep into scam and expose the key players. And they should be punished in such a way, that no law offender dares to indulge in such heinous acts in future.

This scam going like suspense thriller movies, where the culprit tries to kill all the witnesses or the people involved in the case to keep himself safe. I think some powerful people are involved who are having approach from top to bottom.

Without an iota of doubt, many big heads are involved in this scam. And all of them are destined to face the penalties .

The CBi is a political tool. Are you aware conviction rate of CBI is 3%? You must be naive to think CBI will convict anyone in this scam. Incidentally case is NOT handed over to CBI, but only an application made to High Court. If home mintry wanted it could have been done straightaway, but this is just beating around bush.

I  think  the current STF is directly under Supreme court or high court invigilation and the investigation on and state government not central government cannot supersede court's power, so state govt applies to court to go for CBI investigation. @ MG SIngh you should have knwoeldge about this case before writing, should state govt. supercede power of court and create a stage of constitutional crisis. Already under court super vision investigation is on and the documents produced by congress announced forged by court and only court could decide on CBI investigation in this case. That is why application given to high court.

I am in full agreement with you Mohan. Only court could decide on CBI investigation.

Now this scam looks like a conspiracy than a scam. It looks like some one is trying to escape in the shout of paid media and some politicians.

Possible. But why hurry? Wait till the verdict comes.

It is a scam where future of the state was being handed over to incompetent persons for financial considerations by politicians and officials and middlemen.A governor is also allegedly involved. Enquiry by CBI is only a way of forcing the issue out of state govt. ad hoping truth will come out. A big let down by a party with a difference whose CM was in race for PM also at one time. It is a scam bigger than 2G
