After reading M.G. Singh's post in these forums impressing on the point that, Caste is never a criteria for bravery, I found the reality that it's not the Caste, it's the "Cause" that matters.

This is a breathtaking collection of soldiers from undivided India which includes today's India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Burma - were sent to fight in WWI between 1914 and 1918 in France, Belgium, Egypt and the Middle East.

Caste never has been the criteria for bravery and the fact has been recognised and accepted time and again .

Caste factor is the creation of narrow minded who always search for a pretext to defame the system especially in the armed forces which is known for its selfless services.

The Indian army helped the Allies win the war. In fact in the Middle East they formed the main force to defeat the Turks.
