Both were travelling on hired cab, when they met with this fate, I remember a beautiful movie on the works of this great mathematician which Russel Crow perfected with his role.
He showed that for the first time mathematics is not boring science, he show how extraordinary could it have been. He won nobel prize for Nash equillibrium which mainly revolves around stupendous game theory.
He was fighting with schizophrenia, for last few days, I have seen many excellent talented personalities are continue to prone to such disease, I do not understand the reason behind this, may be if I am correct though not sure of it excellent mathematician of Indian Shakuntala Devi also reeling with same disease.
