Informative and helpful tips especially for me as I'm a regular morning walker. Tips like over-striding and wearing right footwear are really necessary to prevent injuries while walking.

Some very good points in the mentioned link, but in the para of 'The dynamics of walking'  mentioned about how to have healthy balance while walking but I do not agree with points 'change direction quickly' I think while passing some one or passing someone during stair cases one needs to be utterly careful to avoid dealignment ligaments as while passing one needs to change direction and on that point speed to be slow rather here mentioned quickly pass through, during morning jogging I have seen some persons pass me with greater speed though it seems they are too much involved in their exercise but they should have taken utter control over their speed and capacity.

Some aspects are implied and they need not be explained elaborately. Walking in open and walking over a stair case are different. Here you have to exercise your discretion.

Nice informative article. Yes people do walk, but they should keep all these points in mind for better results. I do walking but I am not regular.

Regularity and consistency will do lot of good for you. If not, even you can go for walking on alternate days.

I know sir. And I really regret on this thing. I am trying my best these days, hope will able to get consistency again like I was in past. Hopping for best.

Try. It's difficult I know, but not impossible. What all you need is firm determination. Know that body needs some kind of exercise. If you don't, it may not show results immediately. But in the long run, after crossing 40 years, you may face health problems. At that stage, it's not possible to cure your diseases, even if you want to.

That all are right sir. yes solid determination is important. Right now yes I have decided solidly and following the same...

A good decision. I started morning walks pretty long ago. This lead me to slim but strong body. And never visited a hospital. There is no belly fat. And I feel no tiredness despite my heavy work schedule.

One may disagree with some advice in the link. But still this is a useful guide and one can use his own discretion in implementing what he agrees and discarding what he disagrees with. Also, morning walk, jogging and walking to office,  walking on the road are not all similar.

Irrespective of other's agreement or disagreement walking has been accepted by all the health experts all over the world. It's the inexpensive whole body exercise that has a plethora of health benefits.

It is a nice thread that provides very useful tips and makes us more cautious about our walking habit. We should be confident in our steps to gain confidence in our life.
