Leading a sedentary life causes a plethora of ailments. The solution is taking a break after every 15 mins of continuous work.

Though for some people it is un-avoidable, one can always sit in straight position, though not very stressing the back and can always be moving out of the place for a small walk to restroom or to meet someone or one can just see some other locations far away to reduce the impact of it on our eyes.

Also one should follow up this mental activity with some active lifestyle of playing something that involves physical self

Also it is advisable to have a computer glass for reduced impact/strain over eyes.

For those the sedentary life is unavoidable, there are exercises that can be done while sitting in the office chair. Chair yoga is another way to reduce the ill-effects of sedentary life.

That's true and that is the reason I don't sit on chair continuously for long hours in office.

Going for a short walk in recess, or doing a few stretching exercises while sitting in the chair will do much good.

Yes. It is true. My work is related to computer and that's why I have to sit on computer for long from office and home too... The thing I found is that I am gaining little weight.. Lol... yes it is not good and I have already started some exercising in the morning and walking at evening.

A good decision. But even in work place, you can do some stretching exercise without leaving the chair nor your work spot.

That's right I normally do that and find it good for body.

Sitting for long hours is definitely bad since it does not end there...People sit in front of the Tv or Computer and eat their meals and according to studies you end up eating more than needed. Everything gets added on and you gain weight in no time at all...

Very true. Overeating leads to obesity and obesity is the starting pont for several life threatening ailments.

Absolutely overeating leads to many diseases. One should do at least small exercises. I have read somewhere that people who sit for longer duration also leads to many problems in later years.

Ultimately such threads are destined to locking. You need not remind the moderators. In the same page, you can see such threads which were locked. Such pages speak loudly about mere " Point  Hunting."

I am working in a office where i need to sit and work for atleast 7 hours, so as you said above that long sitting harms, so what should i do to get revert form this long sitting situation.

Youmust be having some short breaks during the office hours. Utilize these breaks for doing a bit of stretching your hands and legs without leaving your chair. This helps. Your blood circulation will improve resulting in new energy. This can be repeated, whenever you get small breaks.

thanks Rambabu ji for reply me and making aware to me by getting long sitting problem. Thanks very much.

I do some walking here and around whenever I get too bored in the office. Yes stretching in break is possible too.
