' what is AAM AADAMI. Literally this is 'common man'  But really the men behind the party are not AAM (ordinary).  They are very much 'khas'  or extraordinary. Just see the link:

Moreover, 'aam aadami' has a special meaning in aaam aadami party parlance. For Kejriwal, even a big industrialist running his enterprise honestly is 'aam aadami'  whereas a poor and petty clerk accepting small bribes is 'khas'  or 'uncommon'.

Yet there isw another issue. It is well known that criminals and moneybags control politics. This is still true. There are many crorepati as well of criminal record MLA in newly elected Delhi assembly. It proves that different political parties including AAM AADAMI are all different bottles containing same content viz. criminals and money power. So where is AAM  AADAMI or common man.

I agree with you. 23 MLAs from AAP and 1 from BJP  HAVE CRIMINAL records speak a lot.

Many of the cases are due to them having taken part in agitations. Some are by opponents when in power. Hardly any case reaches completion stage. Yes against some serious criminal cases are there. But the judicial system is a joke in India. Cases run for ages. So there is always the suspicion that a person may be wrongly charged to settle scores. Fast resolution of cases can go a long way in cleansing politics. Expecting 100% candidates to be charge free is an utopian thought.

None is guilty until guilt is established and pronounced so by a court of law.Mere presence of criminal charges slapped with ulterior and political motives does not make one a criminal. It is true that Mr. Kejriwal and his AAP party are learning things both vices and virtues of conventional politics too fast. But then when and where was politics a saintly business???

Politics was never saintly. But AAP claim to introduce a new type of politics!

How about about waiting for some time and see the veracity of AAPs claims. Who can say it may be a turning pint in the scenario of Indian politics.
