Ha.haa i am to some extent but I know a person who is more than a workaholic, he has probably nothing else to do other than work. Do we have any term for people who are always working and always online?

All work makes jack a dull boy - I am not a workholic but when I am committed to any job that I take up I amke sure I finish it , skipping sleep, meals etc..

But with a good and well planned Time management, one can have the best of the two worlds.

Nice article sir. I agree with you. With proper time management one can able to do everything they want. Diet plays major role in our life. Especially morning breakfast is most important to prolong our work without stress and frustration through out the day.

There is nothing impossible if one follows a healthy life style, healthy food habits clubbed with Determination, Dedication and Will to win.

Work habit, life style and food habit are closely related. We should always be vigilant about what we eat and when. Best planning is essential for better health.

In India working like a maniac for extended hours is considered a matter of status. In many offices people sit beyond office hours to appear busy. In the process they miss enjoying after office hours and deny it to their family members also.

It's the un satiated thirst for mundane things that makes some Robots. In this process, they lose everything but the luxurious villas, gadgets etc.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. This is old saying. It is okay to work overtime occasionally owing to exigencies of job but workaholics syndrome is not good on permanent basis.

Sir, i have been an Workaholic since years. But I never missed anything in my life. I'm with family. I'm in the social functions. I participate in cultural activities. This is possible with an effective time management and strictly adhering to it. One more thing I'm hale and healthy.

Then you are not workaholic. Concentrating on work only and doing your best during work time is not workaholic ism. This is only when you concentrate on work only neglecting family, entertainment and even health.  As a matter of fact, certain people like top scientists have to be workaholics.

Ahaha.. You have silenced all those people who are in the habit of calling mE a " Worholic". I will show your valuable comment to all of my critics.

Gulshan Sir has given the correct definition for workaholic. So it is better to consider work holism as a psychological disorder rather than a laudable positive aspect.

I am not ashamed to accept I work for almost 14 hours a day and out of that I am online for 8-9 hours.

I uphold your views Sunil.

Today's TOI carries a news report that Japanese government is planning to make it mandatory for employers to force employees to go on leave every year as Japanese are supposed to be highly work alcoholic. So work more but also take rest and enjoy life also

Wisdom lies in striking a balance between work and social life. This needs an impeccable time management.

Work life balance is an important aspect to lead a healthy and meaningful life. If someone keep on working all the time and one day when they turn back and see they might have lost precious moments in their life. So, its important to be dedicated in work, but also at the same time they must spend sometime for their family also. As you said time management plays a major role in this aspect.

Absolutely. In the absence of balance between life and work life becomes stale, dreary and dull.
