German or Sanskrit

 

I don't think trying to revive the ancient most language of the world is wrong in the country where it originates. There is no ban if someone still wants to learn German language.

 

 

 

I agree that Sanskrit should be encouraged. It is okay to create facilities but its learning should be optional. 

It would have been better to include Sanskrit but keep the option of either German or Sanskrit since we need to look beyond our nation.Our future generations need to benefit from both ancient culture and todays needs ..

Sanskrit is very popular language in Germany. I am not very sure but I have heard Germans saying some of the modern technological ideas they gained reading ancient Sanskrit books. 

Even I think there should be an option, German and Sanskrit as optionals, if the the takers are interested they can choose Sanskrit. Because in current times most people want their children to gain proficiency in one of more foreign languages.

Most of the students are eager to learn a foreign language in view of a brighter future. Anyway, taking a hasty decision and enforcing the change after half way of the current academic year will create a lot of difficulties to the students. They should have waited for another few months to implement the order.

 

No order is implemented during mid session and I am sure not even this one will be in mid session. 

It is a very stupid decision to do away with German.  In fact, we should have a facility of learning other foreign languages such as Russian or Chinese or French.  The BJP and the RSS are trying their best to spoil the education system, to the maximum extent. 

Right from the Eighty standard, every student should be taught Sanskrit, Russian, German and French and even Chinese.  There need not be any examination, but there could be just one examination at the school final stage in the tenth standard and in the twelth standard. 

In this way, we can easily manage the language issue.  It is rather unfortunate that the Government has decided to do away with German.
