India needs a full time defence minister so far Arun jaitley was managing the two portfolios- Defence and Finance. Happily, now we have full fledged defence minister- Panikar, ex Goa C.M. Besides, there are new ministers drawn from U.P., Bihar, Jharhand etc. It apperas that some regional and caste equations have also been considered keeping in view forthcoming assembly elections. Also most of the ministers are drawn from RSS cadre. The criteriaon of seecting mnisters appears same as that of UPA. Significantly, shiv Sena withdrew its nominee who had to leave Delhi without joinng the union cabinet. Thre is a tussle between Shiv Sena and BJP. shiv Sena may sit in opposition in Maharashtra assembly.

whatever, I did not like break up of BJP and Siva Sena a bit. I am feeling so negative on rigidness of both these natural allies for such a long time.

It is Shiv sena that is simply not willing to compromise on any lines, they should realise that times are changing and the need of the hour is to bend back to some degrees for common good!

I tend to think the same, Uddhav is acting in the most immature manner and probably cutting his own feet by this act...Such arrogance will not be tolerated by the public, the plight of an arroganrt congress shd be a lesson to all political parties..

NCP announced unconditional support and this is nothing BJP to do with, what SS is doing is it is still not able to comprehend the reality of Indian politics which has experienced sea-change due to massive mandate of PM Modi, and BJP is willing to ally lesser known parties but not go down with bargaining of SS and before Nitish Kumar party.

All is not well with the union cabinet expansion. The controversy on HRD minister Irani's academic qualifications is stil fresh in public memory. Now it s revealed that the minister of state in HRD minister, Professor Katheria elected from Agra has fake  degrees/ marksheet for which there is criminal case against him in allahabad High court. 

The Shiv Sena is the worst of rowdy parties in India.  This is a well known fact.  It is also one of the most corrupt.  That the BJP has managed to be very careful in its dealings with the worst party of India, is itself, a welcome change.

However, the BJP does seem to be having a problem of talent.  Except for the big five or six, none of the lesser known leaders are showing any promise.  In this context, Mr Prabhu, the new Railway Minister will do well to quickly all the mess created by Mr Sadanandha Gowda, possibly the worst Railway Minister of India, thus far.

Mr Prabhu should not raise fares, but try to privatize the Railways by commercial use of land, in all stations, earning revenue through more advertisements in trains, and so on.  The so-called premium trains have not been so successful, because of high costs. 

Let Mr Prabhu play the volume game.  The Railways can make the most of it. 

The BJP should not encourage people like Jayalalitha of Tamil Nadu, who has been already convicted. 

Let BJP understand that its image of non-tolerance towards corruption, will bring in big gains.

BJP is certainly observing the performance of his cabinet. BJP will not hesitate to show the gate to any non-performer in future.
