To a certain extent I can understand that without power politicians can do precious little - but our politicians forget everything once the power is in their hands , and that is what is shocking and frustrating for the voters who vote them with the hope of getting some good work done..

All the involved parties who wanted to go for alliance don't believe their respective alliance partners. And what such alliances are going to do for the country. Alliances are nothing but "Sharing the Loot"

Haa.hhaa..absolutely..and now the alliances have decided to have the cake all alone..or forgo it.

I feel that breaking away from an established alliance will cost dearly for both BJP and Congress since they will lose out on votes....It would have been better if both had continued with their respective alliance ..

If BJP and Congress both lose, naturally shiva Sena, NCP and MNS may be beneficiary. It is difficult to say who will gain or lose to what extent. any way, if ther is no alliance, real strength of each party will be tested. We may see post pol alliance. There may be new parters. Possibly, NCP and MNS or NCP and Shiva Sena may form new alliance.

NCP and MNS have already come together in Nashik so we can safely assume that now NCP will form an alliance with the MNS. Although the NCP still has some clout in some parts, especially the Pawar's homne constituency in Baramati, but people are already disillusioned with the MNS and their antics. So I doubt if it will work, but it is still too early to say anything !
