I generally use Google search. I think power is same for whatever search engine we use. The power consumption depends on computer time. As far as power used by Google site or Yahoo site is concerned, there are no data available.

Google don't search search INTERNET.It always search relevant indexes stored on its server.thats why it is so fast.its index database about websites and their content is huge.

Google is good however it has different servers based on the country you are from and for India AP is with India for China server it is with them and so on........

Yes...this is also true.. recently I have tried to search for "Gerber foods"... then it did not take me to right site. This is may be due to the point stated by Deivigan.
