All yogasanas will not cure Backache. Surya Namaskar and Sarvangasana are the ideal Asanas for curing Backache.
The exercises given here are quite good and work well, I perform plank from time to time but find it hard to be consistent! :(

Good. Keep it up. Exercises makes us happy and we live a healthy life. Yogi's are doing some exercises with yoga. In yoga classes also they teach us some exercises.
Not only exercise relieves the backache, it has several advantages.
When you exercise, you perspire. The internal toxins in the body, developed through various chemical changes, are driven away through perspiration, urine and stools . 
Hence it's important to do physical exercises or yogic exercises for everyone of us.
