I too felt the same, esp the observation about wealth without work and politics without principle ...

In Gita Sri Krishna speaks about the essentials of Karma or duty...without work and discipline our life can never be fulfilling. According to Gandhiji there are few dangers that has to be avoided to keep ones integrity and virtue intact !

I really liked all the points but the best points in my opinion are 1,2,and 3.

The last one is true....... Our Principle less Politician spoil our country..................

Gandhiji has seen this condition of 'Politics without Principle" long ago. The degradation of politics has a long history.

the seventh prinicple is lost in politcal sphere as there is hardly any principle in politics. :whistle: :whistle:

It just goes to show what a visionary he was, able to forsee what could happen when people get too much power in their hands..I am sure he wd disgusted with his own disciples and their families in the present day political scenario !!!

What I feel is death has proved a boon to him, thereby ending all the tortuous mental agony in one stroke. Had he lived today, everyday he would have died.

No denying the fact that Congress party has done a lot for the country but not enough since its top leaders became greedy and power hungry and also put all that power in the hands of one family. The decline started after that...

Yes Congress has dug many graves to bury others not knowing that it would fall in the same graves dug for others one day.

Before independence, politics could not be career. Anyone would entr politics for national independence. Politics was not a career. But after independence, position naturally changed. Politics became career. Most ambitious persons would join politics. Before independence, bureaucrats were most powerful. Even a Patwari was powerful as people could not meet senior officers like collector or Deputy collctor so easily. Now politcians are more in control of administration. We cannot expect them to be as pure and sacrificing as pre independence politicians.

Some leaders without education lead India very well. Now, the situation is not like that they are shouting each other in the same party and never listen what is happening in the Parliament and simply return home by flight. This is the current situation of the politicians.

Yes if only the politicians would have followed this principle our nation would have been much more flourished by now. A very important point indeed.

Politicians come from the masses - a like people get a like leader ! So it makes sense to improve the masses and their thinking and attitude to get a better leadership and a better society !

Educating the people through awareness programmes will help in changing their attitude towards a good governance .

Politics needs some changes at bottom level. It has become more or less a family business. Everything must be changed. Younger generation should occupy politician seats guided by senior political advisors.
