Follow Rama- says Naidu

Barring his abandoning his wife, there are lots of sterling qualities that make Rama stand apart from most other rulers, his exploits of victory are not limited only to his period of exile of 14 years. His administration and governance after his return to the throne is exemplary and that is what Naidu is implicating for the politicians to emulate. So let us not misconstrue his words but take it in the right spirit.

It's a myth I said. Hence there won't be any records. The only record about Rama Rajya is in Ramayana. Because its a myth, it doesn't mean the concept of Ramarajya should not be used. If its good and practicable accept it.

Ram barred his wife because subjects oppose it, and during his tenure it was perceived to be best rule, perhaps Andhra cm is advising his MLA to behave their constituencies like Ram Rajya.

Andhra CM is a wise man. And he knows well about Ramarajya. Emulating Ramarajya will elevate the state to newer heights.

All said and done I guess Ramrajya was far better than what we have today - Rama may not have been an ideal husband to Sita but as far as looking after his people gooes, he put them before his own self and his wife .How many of ur politicians are willing to do that ?

Present politicians put everything for themselves, families and their kin.

Ram Rajya can never truely be created since it is a utopia..having perfect rules, everything perfect is something which will take years to implement. However, as we know nothing is impossible..so following the few rules can definitely help upgrade the present political system.

In the second chapter, Ayodhya Kanda, topics related to good governance were dealt in detail. In the Sundara Kanda, topics related to Strategic Management were dealt. Here is an example. When the ‘Ocean God’ was behaving erratically, Rama asks his brother Laxmana to get his bow and arrow and shoot at the troubling Ocean God. Rama said, ‘creating fear is the way to deal with a person who refuses to heed the warnings.’ A great example of strategic management.

In Uttara Kanda, Human resource management was dealt in depth. Rama himself set an example by ‘Walking the talk’, maintaining humility and remaining unperturbed during the times of adversity.

Are these not the same traits required to be present in a CEO stipulated by the management gurus and the top ranking Business schools of today?

Frankly, haven't got a chance to read Ramayana..but what you have mentioned can certainly be followed by any present day CEOs.

Why not? Fact or fiction is immeterial. If there is a good thing even from Aesop's tales ,use it. There is nothing wrong.
