Why are Indians teased? Why we remain silent ?

This is like a religious issue. isn't it? Teasing others for their nationality is same as teasing others for their religion. am i right?

All people in the world tease us Indians for our characters, activities, height, weight, language,etc... For example, there is a joke regarding brains of the Indians. Brains of all indians weigh more than that of others because they are kept unused. When I read it as a joke its nice. But sometimes i get irritated because why us indians are silent even after hearing these things? After getting teased like this for several years, then y india is still a developing country

Please mention a specific case.. Every year Forbes with regularity mentions about great business men, highly influenced and the strongest. And in every list Indians have a place.
Come up with a specie case where Indians were belittled

In fact now there is a lot of regard for Indians because at least a few have really proved themselves...We see Indians in the top 100 richest individuals across the world and also there are politicians part of the government in UK and USA...There might have been some misconception during earlier decades but things are different now and I dont see anyone really teasing Indians for being brainless.The IT industry in USA is dominated by Indians and that says a lot since everything is now run by the net and computers...

Let me express my views. The whites of Europe including England, France, Portugal have in the past rules over many asian countries including India. Hence many of them have false sense of racial superiority. This is same like some our so called high castes. But we have to move with self confidence and progress inspite of who says what and who feels what. There is a proverb- caravan moves on while the dogs bark.

As regards racial superiority, I may state that the white raves are fast losing their superiority to Asians. In Britain, the white children were found lagging behind Indians and Pakistani origin children even in english language test. Not very long ago, U.S. President warned his fellow countrymen to gain proficiency in Maths and science as Indians and chinese were far ahead of them. Personally I feel that U.S.A. may be in next century only a country with facilities that will be used by others. That is like Sherjah which has cricket stadium but no native players.

True. The positive attitude towards Indians is on the rise. As you said Obama several times acclaimed the Indian origin expatriates for their achievements. In this connection he cautioned his fellow Americans to follow the good example set by Indians.
Hence the allegation that Indians are looked down doesn't hold good.

True. Racialism cannot be eradicated completely but it can be reduced through efforts. We could not eradicate untouchability. we are living with it though some social activists are trying to reduce the untouchability..

Well, Indians are getting very much attention in some cases.. Such jokes are just jokes and honestly I think many of them are made by Indians only... So I don't think we can think that we are getting teased just by this.

Indians are proving their mettle and excellence in almost all the fields. Indian children emerged as champions in many international prestigious competitions like NASA and Spell Bee. The joke on Indians is outdated and stale. If one keeps an eye on the achievements of Indians , one can know the irrelevance of such jokes. The latest example of Indian excellence is Satya's CEO position in the Microsoft.

There is no serious about such teasing. We have jokes on Sikhs- sardarji jokes, Jats etc. Similarly, there could be jokes on Indians also.

Joke itself means that it is mentioned in a lighter vein. O f course there are Jokes not only on Indians. But there are several Irish and Jews jokes. They remained as jokes.

If you are confident you will be able to take any kind of joke in your stride and silence the jokers...Honestly we should do what we have to do and worry less about what others say about us, because doing so would be a waste of time...

Achievers neither notice nor care for the ridicules, heckling that fall on their way. It's of common knowledge that any effort of an achiever are received with frowns of the wayfarers.
Many Nobel Laureautes were booed and whistled in the beginning

Silence can be best remedy, teasing happens in most spheres of life such as while at school and later on in professional studies, and even in Indian cricket team, the newest member of test player by default have to stand in short leg to hear the batting music.

The very meaning of Teasing says making fun in a playful way. If somebody takes it seriously he will be the loser. He is hurting himself.
