If you click on the Google Doodle which is interactive says, that the display of the doodle will start on 7 March and continues till 9 March. Doodle's display is on the eve of the international women's day. The actual day is 8 March, not on 7 March.

The link says of late there are protests from the men folk in the tribe demanding equal rights along with women.Sociologists say that cracks started appearing in this ancient system. There is an indication in the system it may not last longer.

Personally I feel that there should be no need for such a day ! There are as many women ( may be a percent , two or five less) as men in this world so what is the point ? It also goes to show that women are still weak and need to be humored...
