As far as I am concerned, there is no need for either God or religion to lead ones life as long as you are clear about your goals in life.This also includes certain basic values, which is good enough .

An this part has been used cleverly as a tool to promote their own selfish needs and they called it as Religion. gullible fallen for it making religion a big lucrative industry.

It is mostly crowd mentality ! When yu are born your mind is clear and as you grow up it is the opinion and views of the people around you that controls your action and thinking to a great extent. I feel precisely because of this we should let youngsters think for themselves while we just guide them and steer them towards ceratin basic values...

Now religion has become a big industry involving Millions today. Temples are doing roaring business.Gullible are the biggest patrons.
People are giving enormously to temple, as now they have more income and they want to spend money on Lord and that is why income of temples and other religious institutions have increased considerably.
Yes. That's the most pitiable aspect of life. People who cannot realize the divinity in the man are thronging around the stone structures created by man and imprisoned the so called god in a temple. The reason for the increase in temples is not devotion but the efforts of the gullible to find a short cut to direct heaven by offering bribes.Height of ignorance.
