Drug addiction is certainly bad but if one has improved and gives up the addiction, he is welcome and acceptable for his current role as a responsible citizen and leader.

A frank person should be able to take some criticism about himself as well, which Aiyer will never do....He is and will remain a misguided missile and a psuedo intellectual and afterall he was an IFS when congress was in power ...
