Though peanuts are called poor man's almonds, it has all the rich qualities, nutritional values of almond. From heart patients to pregnant women to growing children Peanuts are the ideal choice. I have a habit of eating Peanut Laddus. But not with sugar but with Gur ( Jaggery).
An interesting thing is army jawans working in far off remote areas where there is no possibility of getting food for days together, Peanuts and gur Laddus are supplied to them.

Not just peanuts, all dry fruits are healthy. But yes, peanuts are the cheapest of them.

This seems to be new delicacy for me. I will ask my wife to give it a try.

If peanuts are eaten regularly, there is no need of other dry fruits and nuts because all nuts except peanuts and dry fruits are more expensive. Peanuts have the same amount of nutrients as almonds.
