Very very shameful and disgusting! I wonder what Kejriwal will do next, provide free food maybe? to all and sundry??? :blink: :blink: Instead of concentrating on safety and security, the new government also seems to be reluctant to do anything worthwhile!

Well, as I said in my earlier posts, it's nothing to do with the government policies. Government can't handle such a huge crowd everyday. Rape cases will not vanish, unless people take their responsibilities and mindset of the people changes!

If government is unable to handle safety issues of its people, it has no business to be in power! Changing mindsets of people is not an overnight job and it will take decades and decades for it to change! Meanwhile, should women keep getting raped because government policies do not help? :blink:

Well, I am not saying it's not the fault of the government in power. I am saying, both government and public are responsible for this. Unless both work together to overcome these issues, no change will happen.

As long as men with low moral character lacking in values of respect for other human beings are in the society, rapes will continue. Even death sentences will not deter such men. Parmanent castration will probably be a suitable example to men of such moral degradation.

Criminals have no fear of punishment. Where from this 'fearlessness' has come " ? it's from inertness from the insensitive government who know how to make rules but not to implement them. And it's exactly is the reason for increased rape cases.

In AP, this practice is going on. A criminal involved in rape will be beaten black and blue first and then only he will be handed over to the police. In some cases, people have broken the limbs of the criminals before sending them to police.

I currently stay in Delhi and yes, crimes against women are high here. I have myself seen women being molested in buses, parks etc here. But you can't say that this crime is confined to Delhi alone. Rapes have increased throughout the country.

That's exactly the point you mentioned. Police will throw the first informant in th the jail. We're seeing the fate of those whistle blowers..this has to be rectified first. With this public indifference will melt away and atrocities on women will certainly help in reducing.
