No More Janta Durbar!

Janata Durbar was cancelled due to unexpected and huge crowds that assembled. This shows to what extent the grievances were piled up and kept in the cold storage by the previous governments. AK has inherited a grave yard. Not to foresee the huge response is the mistake of the new government. Now the redressal system to address public grievances either has to be stopped or find out a viable system in future.

In fact the janata Darbar was held in most unorganized and funny ways. If any authority holds durbar in such way, there can be only similar consequences. Delhi administration is quite big. Even if a mayor decides to hold a public durbar outside his office, similar situatiuon will arise. There is proper way for any thing and needless to say the Durbar in Delhi was held in a very improper way.

There is system of receiving complaints in all offices and action is taken on complaints. But often there is reluctance to make complaint for various reasons. All that was needed was to widely circulate the complaints receiving and redressal system advising people to write directly to C.M. or Chief executive if complaint is not redressed within certain period say a fortnight or a month. Many offices have also complaint boxes. But the current AAP government at Delhi is more interested in publicity.

Here I am reminded of similar dramatics by one Janata Party minister under Morarji Desai. Once Raj Narain, health minister asked people in a meeting to give him complaints if any. Naturally, there would be many complaints. He put the complaints in his pocket. When the pocket filled, he filled his anoithe pocket. Then complaints spilled out and filled the floor. When meeting was dispersed, Raj Narain just left. Nobody knows what happened to the complaints.

Organising Janta Darbar in between common people assemble large crowd. This Crowd cannot be controlled easily. Organising Janta Darbar at a place where crowd can be controlled. It must resume when situation under control.

You cannot find such a place in Delhi where crowd can be controlled. AAP is thinking of alternate methods for addressing the public grievances..

Yesterday at nine pm at India TV, a whole presentation of Janata Darbar was showcased with flops from Kejriwal and Nitish kumar but how Modi's Janata Darbar successful since 2003, with 92 percentages of cases related to personal and professional are solved. it is the case of meticulous planning and execution of ideas. :whistle: :whistle:

You should remember that AAP is a newborn babe. All these are teething troubles. What about the flops of our so called established parties innumerable times ?

If they are not holding any public meeting then that means they won't waste time in meetings and gossips. They will direct work for the betterment of the people.

The internet users are really not helpless. They can solve their problems even if Kejriwal makes no eforts. It is the semi leterate peo9ple who need more help. The real issue is that the Kejriwal government is really interested only in publicity stunts. Otherwise they would not even try the so called durbar outside gate of secreatrariat. They may say that they are novice but they are in public domain for more than a decade in NGOs and various agitatins/ movements. They well know how crowds behave.

I agree with you, the way Rahul organized a rally in Kerala today and a minister injured seriously during the stampede, Kejariwal did right to withdraw such Durbars. he should find a better way to communicate with people.

New options are being examined by AAP. One of them is addressing grievances ward wise. Other viable options are being awaited.
