Several reasons are behind baldness. Main reason being carelessness in following healthy food habits. Lack of iron content and poor nutritious food will cause baldness. It may be due to heridity and use of chemical ridden hair oils and creams.
As per my experimentations, I could state two reasons for baldness, especially among youth.
1. Stress(Physical and Mental)
2. Insufficient blood flow to head.

It should be applied consistently. Results will not be visible instantaneously. Over a period hair fall will be arrested.
Stress, exposure to sun light, lack of care of hair, hereditary are the causes of baldness according to my knowledge.

A good warm oil massage with a mixture of coconut and castor oil too is good because it stimulates the roots ...Adding a handfull of hibiscus leaves and flowers to the oil and heating it further helps ...

Yes hibiscus and it's oil is highly recommended for strengthening the roots of hair in Ayurveda. It also helps in growth of new hair. We say " Mandara" in Telugu for hibiscus.
