This is good publicity to promote and make the party popular than before. In this era, nobody is honest in true sense. I have doubt regarding their own party workers.
Searching for honest ? It's like searching for a pin in haystack. It's ridiculous and an exercise in futility. Those who are honest will come of their own accord for serving the society.

Actually honest people never wish to join politics. They always keep themselves aside. They will better opt for social works for no means.

Yes. I agree with you. Honest people keep themselves away from the stink of dirty politics. Instead they settle on social activities.

Honest people are scrace, they stayed away from limelight, they silently go for their work, they have to face stubborness from corrupt people all around, but the sheer strength of honesty is what keeps then going, and I am sure honest people will never love to join politics be it AAP. All are same, the different fruits of same root.

Honest people know what's close to their hearts. It's anything but politics. They have got many avenues where they can work with heart and soul. But not politics.
Honesty is the best policy. This is age old proverb. But this policy works only if most people are honest. When most people are dishonest and unscruplous, honesty becomes a bad policy for the few 'honest'.

Now let me point out anomaly in what is considered 'aam aadami' or 'common man'. The AAP party has invented an artificial division between 'aam' and 'khaas'. Normally, we consider that the poor citizens are common men whereas the more affluent and powerful are 'khas' of important pesons- VIPs. But kejriwal said that all honest are 'aam aadamai' and even the honest affluent are aam adami whereas the corrupt are 'khas'.

Here I may point out that 'aam adami' really means only the ordinary men who are relatively poor and have low status in society. Thyis has nothing to do with personal character. Moreover, AAM AADAMI party as well as the ANNA moverment from which AAP branched out wrongly consider that govt. machinery alone is corrupt whereas other sections of society including the wealthy businessmen, corporate, religious shrines etc are 'honest' or victim of corruption by bureaucracy or even poor Baboo (clerk)

Obviously such faulty notion cannot remove corruption. Recently, many aam aadami (common citizens and not aam aadami party) collaborated with government staff/ / meter readers to ensure that the meters indicate only the consumption within free limit. Kejriwal has taken disciplinary action against staff. Here who is more guilty- the aam aadami (citizen or consumer) ort the Jal Nigam staff.

Moreover, same person may be so called aam aadami and a citizen for various services whereas a khas adami in his own job. For example, a train ticket examiner is a 'khas adami' in railway but he will also be 'aam adami' in hospital, RTO or other places.

As long as drastic action is not taken against the aam aadami (common citizens) who bribe or corrupt the govet machinery for their own benefit, corruption cannot be removed. Corruption is to be considered from another angle. Really corruption is a tool that works in favor of the rich and against the poor. Thus corruption is more a matter of the rich depriving the poor rather than bureaucracy versus public or so called aam aadami.

A thought provoking account about the general notion about AAM and Khas prevailing in the society. Its more than truth about an honest man amidst dishonest. He looks an odd man out and the very purpose of the word HONESTY will be defeated.
My heartfelt thanks to you for this beautiful thread.

They might find it difficult to search hones candidates but their task is not tough. They have to find only one per constituency. If we divide with number of voters it will be around 1.2 million people per seat. Is it that hard to find one honest person out of 1.2 million?

Finding an honest person is not that hard. But that particular person's readiness to work for a noble cause also should be present in that honest person. Its the combination of these two traits make the things complicated and a hard task.

People are coming forward, did you read that an Infosys officer resigned recently and another top officer resigned from Apple (Adarsh Shastri) they all are competent and willing. Just wait and watch, it all will make a big difference.

But the 'honest' person may not be eager to join AAP. He may not be efficient or interested in politics. Honest people can work in non political domain as well. Moreover, every honest person may not join AAP. They may join BJP, Congress or Communist as well. The GOA C.M., Tripura C.M., the Pudducheery C.M.- all three are very simple and honest but belong to BJP, Communist and regional party. As a matter of fact, dishonety is not declared policy of any political party. Nobody will say that he is dishonest. It is individuals who choose dishonesty and they may do irrespective of party affiliation. There is no way an AAM AADAMI Party member presumed 'honest' may not turn dishonest.

I have always though that honesty is not a policy but our religion and even an atheist will agree to that. If the air of change the people then it makes no difference which party they join. I am not a party worshiper nor a politician, but willing to see an honest party/person with good intentions win.

True. Nobody can foresee the things. Akin to this, nobody can predict if an honest man of today remains honest until tomorrow.

No, we certainly are not going to play a prediction or forecast game but talking about present situation of finding honest people for different political parties.

My intention was, after all parties are made of people and the people in the party whose honesty made an impact and created an impression that a particular party is known for its honest people today may turn out to be dishonest people due to avarice or some other reason. And about this uncertainty i was talking about.

Men can change but not parties, if they wish to remain honest they can always kick dishonest out. That is the only way remaining an honest party, otherwise what is so bad about present system?

Present system is patronizing the dishonest instead of kicking them out as you said. Remember, it's the members in the party that make or mar in a party or an organization.

All parties as such are honest. Men change. So even dishonest men can replace the honerst and vice versa. The system is certainly not corrupt. The system is as good or bad as that in western countries. It is the national character that makes difference. We should see corruption as a means of exploitation by the powerful. So only the victims viz. the poor can remove corruption. The buraucracy and powerful affluent private parties- the bribe giver and taker both benefit at the cost of poor who have no means to brive. So the poor have to organize to fight corruption. The so called AAM AADAMI as defined by Kejriwal is not poor but includes even the richest industrialists whol bribe or use corruption as a means to get favor that an ordinary poor person- the true AAM AADAMI cannot get.

AAP's success is a shining example for a common mans will to change the exploitation prevailing in the society. Though the composition of AAP includes a few rich people, it doesn't mean that they are against eradication of corruption in the society. It's their common commitment to root out corruption that bound them together.
