A Fractured Mandate is Very Much on Cards!!!

As India heads for another national election what must be very disturbing is the prospect of another fractured verdict which was regular feature in the late 80s and 90s, might badly impact all spheres of our national life. Shady, corrupt, self-seeking stuffed shirts would hold the center stage. Promotion of selves and their families at the cost of the nation would be their 'Rajdharma'!!!

Oh this is but what can be done those who promise to eliminate corruption after winning get corrupted after winning  . Its not a surprise if AAP does the same if they win assembly elections in Delhi.

I too tend to think so and this kind of a verdict is what some parties are looking for since they can do a lot of horse trading and somehow manage to get the required numbers...I have a feeling that the coming state election results may reflect what is in store for us, at least to some extent !

A fractured mandate is the last thing India can ill afford at this juncture. Do you know that Rabri Devi's name was proposed not by her husband but a scholar - late I.k.Gural - another faceless politician India and Indians had to endure with as PM!!!

Yes, this is his exact contribution to Indian politics!!! It also stresses one point that the so-called scholars did greater harm to us than the ones whom we love to hate!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I agree ! The core damage was done by such scholars who knew what they were getting us into,..in spite of that they supported these wolves and in my opinion, it is the worst crime that can ever happen, throwing the country to the mercy of such hounds!

I think the subject of contribution of pseudo scholars joining politics should attract researchers towards degradation of our life as it stands today and their findings would surely bewilder us!!
Everybody is selfish and greedy. They want to fulfil their thirst for power and position.
Fractured mandate is imminent. And and its going to be here. Not because of illiterate voters but because of literate illiterates.
The world is a dangerous place to live. Not because of the people who are evil; but because of the people who don’t do anything about it. - Albert Einstein
Fractured mandate for states, I do not think so in Delhi it is between Cong and BJP, AAP is more to do with media promotions, if they win then it is a sort of miracle.

''IFs" and BUTs are mere predictions. AAP may win but more possibility for a HUNG.
Some users have referred to AAP. This party is a force to reckon with Delhi only and so will have no affect on national politics. We did not have single party govt at center since long. The coalition is fromed usually after election only. This time also this will be like that. As usual, Left and some others may support Congress just to prevent BJP. The regional parties may be divided between BJP and Congress. Possibly a third front govt. may emerge most likely with outside support of BJP or Congress or even boith as happened when V.P. Singh formed govt. with support of Left and BJP both. We may also see a third front govt. supported by Congress and BJP both.

In the previous election BSP emerged as third in Delhi, but political experts in India are only talking abt. BJP, Cong and AAP.

I wonder if the Left parties are left with any support base to garner enough number of seats to be able to spoil BJP's party.
With so many regional parties having power in their states and regions we can look forward to a fractured mandate. Let the "pahalwans" of the different parties flex their muscles as much as they wish, the next government is going to be a coalition mishmash.

As per some predictions BJP is definitely going to form the government in Delhi...lets see how far this is going to betrue, they have even predicted quite a big gain for AAP which is afterall contesting for the first time..

If Congress even manages to touch 100 mark, I should be in for a rude shock!!! UPA- II under Manmohan Singh has virtually unleashed a reign of terror (if in purely economic terms). The common people must not forgive this government for benefiting from their misery!!!
