The Maoists want suspension of counting as they are lagging behic in Nepal elections. Is this fair? As they decided to particpate in elections, they must respect peoples' verdict.

Whatever I understand from the goings-on in that country is that Nepal stands at the cross-roads politically and the huge turn-out of this elections seems to indicate enthusiastic participation of Nepalese of all walks of life to decide the fate of this nation at this momentous hour. Let us see how things shape up in future.
Maoists always create chaos. This time Government should take serious action against them.
As the Maoists participated in elections, It was expected that they would abide by peoples' verdict. Itg appears that unlike Indian Maoists, the Nepalese counterparts want to have best of both worlds. They will partcipate in election or use bullets, whatever suits them.

They cannot have best of two worlds. As you said, once in the fray they are bound to accept the people's verdict.

Indeed Maoists don't believe in ballet, they believed in bullet.

Then why the contested in elections?
The Maoists were instrumental in dethroning the monarchy in Nepal.. But they did not live up to the expectation of the people though they were part of the government after the democratic elections. With many little parties coming into play the Himalayan country was in chaos for years. The people are fed up with the situation and now want a strong government which will respond to their aspirations. The Maoists have lost a lot the goodwill they had among the people.
