Do ghosts exist in real life?

This is a controversial matter. I have never seen a ghost. But those who have seen one may narrate their experience.

In a place like Mangalore where we have a culture of having a ghosts taking care of our Santana which means Family tree, I get to hear about it day in and day out. Almost everyone seems to have had some experience or the other with what they think is a family ghost !!! :huh: We even have a day of celebration for them every year when the entire clan gathers and appease them ! :dry:
However, personally I believe what I see and more importantly experience the same for a long period of time until I am convinced which has not happened so far, so as of now I don't believe in ghosts..

It seems you believe in ghosts, and is it on the basis of hear say and word of mouth or in the sense of any scientific theories?

My belief or disbelief is not the issue as I consider it to be stepping on a minefield!! If any field has defied all scientific theories and rationality, it is this one! It has something to do with our psychological make-up and let them exist to tickle our imagination!!

The ghosts are supposed to be formless. They can move to any place within moments. Mere desire satisfies them. Thus if a ghost wants to taste dosa, he gets instant feeling of the dish without actual consumption. So nice to be ghost. He can eat, drink, dine, womanize without actually doing anything.

@Mohan- You said at starting of your post that you believe in ghosts. That should be it, if you have faith in ghosts then other's opinion does not matter.

I have never seen any ghosts. Yes I have made my friends and brother get scared to see me like a ghost. That was truly out of fun. :evil: :silly: :blink: :P

I have heard that if some one dies before time of death or if he / she dies an unnatural death, They become ghost to take revenge from the sinner.

Probably they were able to see the fourth or even the next dimension where they could see ghosts. Or could be it was their belief that made them to believe that, however I would avoid this topic in case a ghost catches me tonight for not believing. I keep my doors open, just in case

Ghosts are not womanizer. If a person dies due to his unsuccessful love affair, he/she may become ghost. However, it will never harm their loved ones. That's true love which is their in spirits as they are close to God. It will instead protect their loved ones.
The evil power is always evil and wild. They are bad when they were alive and also after their death.
