Face book is bigger community than most countries in the world. People with weak willpower or unable to think properly are bound to face some of the wrong notes of music the Facebook is instrumental.

What a horrible story, I wonder what the girl was thinking when she got involved with this man even after she came to know he was a drug peddlar? :blink: This is not love, this is sheer stupidity! I do not blame Facebook for this, it was only instrumental in her meeting this person, but after that what happened is solely the consequences of her decision making process!
The best way is not to mix social site with real life. All wrong consequences are related to mixing virtual life with real life.
Which is why I think the young people must not remain idle for long, if they do not find anything worthwhile to do , they indulge in mindless activities such as too much participating in social networking sites!

An idle mind is a devils workshop ....Age and our repressive society too has a lot to do with it.Most girls are so very sheltered that they have no chance to mix freely with the opposite sex and this makes them totally ignorant of what is in store when they don't use their common sense while dealing with strangers...In most such instances you can see that the girl comes from a middle class traditional family that is very strict ..

If that instrument delivers sour notes. leave that instrument. There is no dearth of instruments which can deliver your own melodious Do Re Me.... or Sa Re Ga Ma.
This is not the only incident where facebook has played a role in the tragic story of a girl. Many other girls have been hooked by shady characters through the social media. Because you don't meet the person face to face, you can most often make a mistake in assessing the person.
If this is not the first incident and every body knows about the evils of social net working sites, still why people are flocking around these sites ? Why they are not learning lessons ? People who commit mistakes knowing that they are mistakes do not deserve sympathy.

I too feel that it is better not to open your heart out and give away all the information on social sites like FB, every forum has its own limitations and we should be able to anlyse that and use it accordingly ! In this case FB has only been a platform for the boy and the girl to meet, what happened later is entirely dependent on how they handled it ..
