It is seen from a research that various brain training methods simply enhance your capacity to retain memory. This is like increasing RAM in a computer. But these do not help capacity to take decision.

Hmm.. Yeah some particular training can surely improve memory but on that particular training pattern only and part only.. On other activity it may not respond in the same way.

Training can improve way of thinking or reaction time but as far intelligence is concerned it is possible but in very small way.
As body needs exercise to work efficiently, so as brain as idle mind cannot think beyond certain stage whereas continuous working of brain can develop power of reasoning, differentiation and discretion in decision making.

Brain exercising can help in boosting the decision making ability to some extent. Because decision making is linked with your discriminatory ability. The ability to choose which factor has to be set aside and which to be projected.

I agree with you, activities using brain power may increase reaction and counter reactions but it has nothing to do with IQ.
Management of brain such as good food, healthy living style and eight hours of sleep can make brain functions faster. Brain is the most vital aspect of human and it has many significant role to perform.
