I would like to wish all those who celebrate Durga Pooja. Happy Durga Pooja. Special Wishes to Ram!
I must remind you Ram that Hindus celebrate this day in different parts as religiously as in other parts. In your parts is Durga the kali while in our parts it is Durga Ma shera wali the goddess Durga who rides a lion to destroy evil. In our areas people fast for 8 days for Ma Durga and worship every day. On last day they feast 7, 9 or 14 small girls including 1-2 boys to end the celebration. some others finish on keeping fast for 9th day also and finish it celebrating Ramnavami. !0th day is Dashahara, the day Rama killed Ravan as symbol of victory over evil. HAPPY DURGA POOJA TO ALL.
Shubh Navratri to all! Yesterday we celebrated Bhondla in our society for the children. It is a traditional ritual where a toy elephant is kept or a elephant rangoli is drawn and then children form circle around it and sing traditional, quite funny songs. Then they have to guess the names of treats which they then get to eat together!

It's equally important for us. We in AP celebrate it for nine days. In AP we call this festival as "Devi Nava Ratri."
My best wishes to all the Boddunan family members .
