Some times it is hard to resist such temptations but as you said it is natural and both sided.

Yes, they are not limited to men alone. And in some cases intentional . Both sexes use this ploy, which is appropriately named in Hindi as "Emotional Atyachar."
There are many kinds of emotional cheating and this relates to a particular style of managing your voice and persuade to do in that manner, in a way it is one of empathetically relationships.
It has been present in human from very beginning and it is not limited to men both sex have used it for their personal benefit.
