The man who got cured and relieved from the superstitions should consider himself lucky. A commendable job by Mehac! The public health organization who injected confidence in the affected and made him join the mainstream.
It is the right way to treat mentally sick, otherwise society is preoccupied with strange methods of tantriks the self proclaimed Lord to remove all evils.
All right thinking and people with rationality should support the institutions like Mehac that helped the affected person to eradicate superstitions prevailing in the society . Tantriks are the plague to the society.

Indeed India have not enough psychologists. Before 30 years my city have not any psychologist. Now here 4 or 5 psychologists are working and they all are in private sector. Person who cann;t afford expenses of treatment go to tantrik and Ojha.

It is heartening to see the effort made by the group to bring some enlightenment among the masses...I know of a case here in my city where a teenager was teased at school for being out of sorts and given all kinds of mental torture in the name of treatment at home. Finally a family friend who was a psychiatrist took him to bangalore along with his mother and treated him.Now the boy is working in the US after completing his Engineering course ...

What a psychologist does can be done by people with kind hearts. Here the question is to soothe the victim and create confidence in him to get away from the weird practices of Tantriks who resort to beating the victim. A most barbarous way of treating a fellow human.
