Be it private sector or government job, job security is the first thing on everyone's mind. There is a lot of security in government jobs today than it is in private sector. It is easier to get a job, but a lot diffiicult to get someone thrown out.

But in private sector once you prove your worth and establish that 'indispensable' factor, a person can reach any heights. In public sector there is job security, but stay there where you were placed at the time of joining till your retirement.

Private sector is not one time affair but you have to prove yourself constantly to stay at top.

For a person who proved his mettle and earned the recognition of the top brass, he will be encouraged and the morale levels are boosted. Such person will certainly prove his worth again and again. Its not the case in public sector. Right from your colleague to man sitting at the top will will try to pull your legs and steal your works.

Actually there is so much at stake in private sector that a person on policy making seat remains ever so buried under loads of problems that a wrong move and he finds him out of favored list. And there is another fact that this debate will never cease whether PCU or PS which are better for providing satisfaction to workers. Even workers are never satisfied whatever they get or whatever they agreed in the first place at the time of joining a company. Hence the strikes. If workers in PSU do not find terms of service satisfactory they can always resign and join private sector where every thing is so attractive and paying so good.
Employees want goals, responsibilities, autonomies, opportunities, innovation, work environment and proper compensation.

Employee and employer need each other, one can not exist without other. Both should take best care for survival of both.

True employee wants recognition. That's but natural. But, he expects Rewards also in some form or other. It's not necessarily in the form of cash. Realizing this, many organizations incorporated schemes like, " best worker award, best suggestion awards etc. "
This practice is present both in public and private organizations.
