There is a move to make duty time flexible for women in view of their additional role as house keeper. If such flexibility is possible, should this not be for all employees? On the other hand, this may not be feasible in many jobs.

There are many doubts to be clarified before judging the merits and demerits of this seemingly good proposal to give a woman employee the much needed flexible hours. These flexible hours vary from woman to woman. And the final say will be employer. This is where I'm seeing the achilles heel. These weak points may be misused by smart people. Anyhow, if I'm proved my doubts acre unfounded and baseless, I'll be tyne first to to rejoice.
The timing would be fixed when you need to attend office. There has to be same time period for worker and supervisor. Thefe may be need to relax rules and grant leave in specific circumstances. However, when the task can be done from home, the flexibility is for male and female both.
I thin this is not practically possible in all the fields. All the employees cant work in home due to various constraints such as security violations , technology available, etc.
In addition, Flexible timings to all might affect the work to be completed and there are certain jobs which needs 24 * 7 support. In such cases, there cant be flexible timings for all.
Flexible timings are very much applicable in many corporate sectors already, they even offer to work from home if any professional is not available to reach office for his/her personal reasons. there is no problem if they let them work according to their time, the entire need of the flexibility is delivery of project in time and fixed duty period.
